I *am* the black sheep in my family and was pretty much figuratively "kept
chained in the basement" which, after a while, made me realize that I was
far better than they were.  They had on blinders and could only see their
own very narrow points of view.  I enjoyed a far broader and far, far richer
life because I went far afield in my experiences because I believed and
believe it's better to be a has-been than a never-was.  Of course, some of
those things NO one will ever get me drunk enough to talk about ... :-D
