[ARC5] [Milsurplus] Collins ARC-2 Going Cheap

Same thing down in Tucson. Bunch of Navy R-4B (Goony birds) in one lot and the owner just lets them set there gathering rain, pidgeon S&$* and so on. Another lot had 30-50 of the little Navy S-1 trackers i think or S-2, don't know which. Insides had been cleaned out, engines removed along with the gear. Was told they belonged to some South American country, hands off.
Lots of airframes around doing nothing. Someone has a lot of money to set on.

The S-2, C-1 and E-1 also had the ARC-2 installed. Semi-Warcraft! They don't shoot!
There are a bunch of E-1s parked in the woods down the street (US Rt 1, West side) from St Augustine airport in FL. I wonder what is inside of them? I understand the curmudgeonish owner is not interested in selling them or letting anyone poke around.

>From what I understand from a discussion several years ago, the ARC-2 was
used primarily in cargo or transport aircraft, rather than in warcraft.
Perhaps someone else here can correct me if necessary.
Mike? :-)
