Michael,

GM's division was the Eastern Aircraft Division in Trenton, NJ.

I visited the Naval Air Station, Wildwood NJ, museum this week. They have an Avenger on display and pictures of the Trenton factory.

They also have a small radio exhibit displaying, among other radios, an ART-13 transmitter and ARB receiver. Here is their website.

It's an interesting museum located in the original NAS hanger. The Collings Foundation B-17, B-24 and P-51 will be at the museum during this Memorial day weekend.

aircraft, even a brute like a SOB 2nd Class. Thanks for the info!

The SB2C and TBM both carried ART-13s, usually with ARB receivers, while the
SBD carried a GP-7 with all its TUs which was no light weight. (It was
mated to an RU Rx, also with several coil sets.) This latter rig went into
the initial orders for the TBF before Grumman handed production over to GM's
Eastern Air(name?) division so they could build fighters. IRRC, the TBD
also carried the GP/RU combination although which marks I don't know.
