Hi Bill,
Please send me your B-17 radio shots. Real combat photoes are very well worth archiving as the flying examples of today are usually incomplete. Some movies have good shots if only momentary of the radios as in "12 O'Clock High", "30 Seconds Over Tokyo", "The Dam Busters".
 Thanks for your efforts,
                                   Jay KE6PPF

Subject: [ARC5] ARC-5/SCR-274N radio photos in B-17 available

I was reviewing some newsreel footage of (supposedly) the WWII B-17 raid on
chweinfurt, Germany (the ball-bearing plants/factories) when I caught a quick
ook at some radios in the background. I backed up and looked at it frame by
rame. The footage emphasizes a machine gunner in the B-17 (foreground), and as
e moves around, the radios are clearly visible in the background. There are 3
rames (in focus) and that's what I made copies of...I have the 3 frames as
BMPs. If anybody would like a copy, please email me. I save photos like this,
ou might, too? Bill KA3AIS
