Robert and all,
I have a GO-9 here. I don't usually admit it, but I also have an
800-1 inverter meant to run it. (I would like to find the capacitor
that's needed between the inverter and the radio.)
The brief history of the thing is that it had been used in the EE
department at Tufts University to teach transmitter operation and
technique before "technology" made it obsolete. It was donated to the
radio club by m Professor/Elmer and since no one at the club was
interested in it, I bought it from them. That was all in the
mid-1960's. I've been carefully storing it at the homestead (still in
the family) or at my various houses and I hope to restore it one of
these days not too long from now. It is one of those "Before-I-can't-
lift-it-anymore" projects!
