In my cross-country days there were still towns with big yellow town 
names painted on roofs.
While Omni had started to come in, I used the adcock ranges more. Wow, 
what a mess when you crossed the station and the leg you wanted went off 
at an angle. Not always easy to be sure you were on the right one. I can 
still hear the "A" and "N" Morse in my earphones.
