In most of the radio operator positions that I've seen, the ZB's
frequency dial was easily capable of operator adjustment.  But I
doubt this was ever done in flight except under extreme circumstances,
such as to pick up the YE/YG signal from some other carrier. 

But by "channel" I think in ZB terms this would actually mean
the BC band frequency of modulation of the approximately 246 MHz
carrier.  That could easily be changed in flight by changing the
frequency of the ARA/CBY-46145 receiver (or RU or ARB) to which the
ZB was attached.
