No. The receivers equipped with the remote tuner must have the remote
control (blank panel) box plugged into the front so you can only adjust the gain
or turn on or off the BFO through pins in the 8-pin connector on the mount
(In other words, you have to use a control box or facimile thereof). The
MX-2/ARR-2 is for use with the R-3(*)/ARR-2(*)X or R-4/ARR-2(*).
