All,
I just aquired an Aircraft Radio Corporation Tool Set (CONT. NOs 74312). It contains, per the box,

1 Phillips Screwdriver 8020
1 Tube Extractor 7489
1 Local Tuner 6743
1 Bristo Wrench No. 6 8021

Two issues:
 1) It's missing the Phillips Screwdriver; Anyone got a spare or what would be a close approxamation of the original and a source for same?
 2) To what gear was this tool set intended to be used with? Obviosly a receiver that would use the 6743, but which one(s)?

It would be nice to match this tool set up with its intended "patient" .

Thanks,
            Jay KE6PPF

PS, I've seen Bristol and Bristo for the name of spline wrenches. Did someone in the past make a typo that stuck and became part of History?
When my eldest daughter was about 5, she was watching me rebuild a VW engine for her mother's car.I asked her to hand me a screw driver. She replied: Plus (+) or Minus (-) Dad?, as these were the symbols she was familiar with from the little "Erector" sets I had given her for Christmas,(which she built by herself!).
