Thanks Mike and also for the C-39 "where used". Now how 'bout a where used on the J-17*/ARC-5? I would guess large crewed aircraft only. Heck you need a slew more connectors! Looks like a modulator mount would secure it or was it a plate?

Hi Jay,
The RL-9 and AM-40 have somewhat less gain than the RL-5 and RL-7. The switch simply accommodates that difference in gain to produce roughly the same amplifier output level. The other changes to the -A model of the J-17 are described on page 33 of the manual.
