There is a guy who has obtained all the WW II air incident records and 
makes copies. I got from him three accident reports on my late wife's 
first husband who flew P-51s in  Europe - shot down seven Germans. She 
knew about two of them, but not the taxing accident in England when his 
plane cut the tail off the plane in front.

Unfortunately, I can't find his address, but it was in New Jersey. Maybe 
googling "accident reports" would turn it up.
