To Group,

As a volunteer at the National Museum of Naval Aviation it is my understanding that the policy concerning all aircraft to be recovered is that none involved in fatal accidents will be subjects of a recovery and restoration. The reasons for this policy are based on a number of factors such as concern for family members, etc.

Usually, guests at the dedication of a restored aircraft when it is put on display includes one or more aviators who had flown the ship during its service life.
