Going by memory, the British set was the TR=1133, The frequency
range was about 100mhz to 120mhz. The receiver was not
crystal controled. It use a pair of EF36s.(again memory)
One set was shipped to Bendix. Bendix was giving the task
of making a US version. Orginally there was to be two sets,
one covering 100mhz to 120mhz and 120mhz to 150mhz( or
about. It was decided to combine the two sets. Some of my
friends were WWII vets. They said the 5220 was difficult to
addjust.
