Building up an ARA/ATA and GF/RU as I am for both the book and my own on-air
use, I certainly agree. These two systems will be kept for a time while
vast majority of the rest of the A.R.C. equipment will be sold off after I'm
done with the photos. This includes both military and civilian. That will
open up so much storage space I'll be able to downsize easily. (The related
publications will be available as well.)

Again, agreed. And, again, the equipment will be in service doing
maintenance on equipment that is kept. We may have differing desired ends
but our approaches are the same.

All of my equipment (except the HT-32) had to be purchased and shipped from
the mainland which does an excellent job of cutting back how much I acquire.
Even so, there is enough and it has to be thinned at some point which, as
mentioned previously, will be done in a progressive manner rather than one
big dump although some will go via one or another of the local clubs as
donations for those interested in boatanchors. (Apparently some of the
newer members are just such people and should be encouraged.)
The theory is that at the time of my untimely demise, there won't be
anything left except a minimal amount of equipment, tools and other things
so no one will have a major problem disposing of it all. Most of it will be
able to be tossed with no great loss to anyone.
