Tax rate does not mean that much without assessment info but in
Taxachusetts it is nearer $1.25 to $1.50 per hundred.
Put another way, the Property Tax is "limited" to 2.5% of the fair market
property value.
There are also:
State Income Tax.
State Capital Gains Tax.
State Excise Tax on cars, boats, and other personal property.
Sales Tax (6.25%).
Meals Tax.
Gas Tax.
Manditory Health Insurance.
Telecomminication Tax.
Local Property Tax.
and likely many more.
There are also a slew of business taxes.
