[ARC5] [Milsurplus] Well I'm trying...

*chuckling* ... yeah, but look at who writes & edits the definitions for
Wikipedia. :-D

Seriously, I was given that nickname during the 60s when I managed to come
up with solutions to problems that bedeviled others. Mine weren't inelegant
"bag on the side" solutions but rather were clean, simple (most of the time)
and elegant - and invariably very unique. I never did like dirty, messy or
ugly solutions in software, hardware or anything else so I worked toward
solutions *I* would accept for my own projects. But, no matter how clean
the solutions, people tagged me with the nickname "Kludge" and it stuck.

Or, stated another way, I'm a Kludge (capital k) who doesn't like kludges
(lower case k).

Best regards,
