At one time, I had somewhere around 150 "ARC-5" 
receivers, some few were new-in-the-box. I found several 
which not only had glass tubes IN them, but which were 
LABELED  for glass versions of the tubes. I.e., 12SK7GT, 
etc.

All my receivers were "gifted" to me from the estate of a 
fellow I worked for in the 1970s, and they were all bought at 
that time.

I would say that yours is not unusual.
