Well FWIW you can do it the hard way or the easy way! :>)

If you really want to use the same rivets, a place called 
blacksmithdepot.com has the tool for the job. I always figured that it was a 
little too much to hit it with a hammer so I just used pop rivets. The 
rounded head has a hole/dimple but it works just fine and actually looks 
pretty good too!
