Hi, Tom,

That would be the noise. It's especially bad when they're trying to hover
nearby. Must be that dental drill feeling. :-)

My planned (sort of) path to fame and glory was multi-engine, commercial and
instrument, the use of which would pay for rotary wing. Using that would
pay for jet & type certification in whatever I could get. The plan had many
fatal flaws but it looked good. Unfortunately I never got to test it since
I got medically grounded in 1976 while I was still in that first step and by
the time I was clear to fly again I couldn't afford to.

Now my meds won't let me pass which is okay, I guess. I had my fun and now,
with all the new gizmos and gadgets needed to go anywhere, it's not fun
anymore. No more landing on country roads to go to general stores that had
the *best* locally made cheese, sausage, pickles & sauerkraut - not that I'd
ever even dream of doing such a thing, of course. And - hypothetically -
filling a couple of largish ice chests with said items to take back home.
Or other such things. ;-)

Oh, well.

Best regards,
