Many, many thanks for this.  Did the UK, Canada, Germany, Japan, Upper
Slobovia and other countries that had funds to modernize have comparable
equipment for the same task?  I would think they would have the same problem
of encountering vessels and aircraft still operating to the 1920s & 1930s
"standards".
