That would be CCT-46104. I don't know what receiver, if any, was assigned
Cxx-46124. (It would be useful to have a listing of the various -43xxx,
-46xxx, and -52xxx numbers cross-referenced to the associated USN system.
For example, the entry for CBY/CCT-46104 would cross-reference to the RAV
and the ARA systems.)
WRT the AN/ARC-5 equivalents to the ARA/ATA units, the AN/ARC-5 maintenance
manual states that the transmitters and receivers in the range of 3.0 to
9.1 MHz were provided in quantity of one of each per aircraft. The 2.1 to
3.0 MHz transmitter and the 1.5 to 3.0 MHz receiver were provided in quantity
of one per five aircraft. I suspect the earlier ARA/ATA was similarly
proportioned. Thus, these MF units were apparently not used all that often in
the service.
The USN always set more stock in use of the MF range than did the USAAF.
The SCR-274-N does not have a 1.5 to 3.0 MHz receiver or 2.1 to 3.0 MHz
transmitter, and even its BC-696-A 3.0 to 4.0 MHz transmitter was an
afterthought that wasn't part of the original SCR-274-N, just like the
BC-946-B BCB receiver was an afterthought to support the AN/ARR-1 homing
adapter.
