Gordon's classic article "Command Set Story" ("CQ", November, 1964) may
be found at:

http://www.scr-274-n.info/css.pdf

Gordon mentions W.E.'s BC-699 prototype VHF transmitter and BC-695 prototype
VHF receiver that eventually developed to the BC-950 transmitter and BC-942
receiver. He implies that these prototypes were crystal-controlled.

Gordon's surplus articles were the *only* reason that I bought "CQ" in the
1960s, when I was still in high school without much money to spend. (I also
never missed the "73" Annual Surplus issues, which are still the only reason
to have any of Wayne Green's BS around. Anyone know what ever happened to
73's prolific surplus article writer Roy Pafenberg?)

I'd appreciate a scan also!

Thanks.
