Kind of.  However, there is sufficient reality to give the events some
room for plausibility.  Check out

for actions on both coasts ... including the infamous "Battle of Los
Angeles."

By the way, the flights of fancy were kind of a reminder that
sometimes we take ourselves too seriously.  Think of it as a reality
check by way of the absurd.

Also think of what my shrinks have to deal with on a regular basis.  I
do enjoy warping their young (comparatively) minds.  :-D
