This is a post-war modified BC-348-Q that has been re-nomenclatured as
R-584/MRC-20. I believe that the AN/MRC-20 was a ground mobile
communications system of several different units.

The connector goes to the MOST important item that distinguishes this
from a plain BC-348-Q, the external squelch/limiter unit (which contains
two vacuum tubes). That unit is normally mounted on the top of the
receiver case. The unit will not work missing the external unit without
some re-wiring.

The auction unit is missing the squelch/limiter unit, and the dynamotor.
