Hi Dave,
I have this two post ARR-1 box on my ARB/ZB/DU set up.I also have a
ZB-3 complete NOS set in the now disintegrating boxes.I will have to do
some excavation to get to it but I would imagine it to have the one
post relay..
My plan for this is the RU-19 dual rx setup. One Rx with a DU and the
other with a ZB.Don't know if that would be a correct line-up but it
would maximize the number of boxes in the setup.
 Jay

Subject: [ARC5] Those ZB Boxes

Awhile back, there was a discussion about the antenna switches/
control boxes used with the ARR-1 and the RU receivers.
There are at least two antenna switches, both of which have
been offered recently:

(I have one of these) which has posts for "LA" (Long Antenna)
and "SA" (Short Antenna), and

http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ250439954596,

which only has one antenna post.

I have a control box, CZE-23214, made by Zenith, marked for ZB
(no suffix), contract NXs-2959, April 15, 1942, Which is just a
box with a typical Navy fiber nomen tag, with three switches:
On/Off, Homing/Comm, and "Local" and "Distant,"
which may or may not have to do with the dual antenna box.
That box was built by Zenith on a 1943 Army Signal Corps order,
and sports both Sig Corps and Navy inspection stamps.
There's bound to be an interesting story there,
hopelessly buried in some archive in Washington,
waiting for the New Age Marxist to finish pulping the records
of our terrible warmongering (grumble grumble....).

P.S. Heres a handy tip to get around Flea-Bay's
 newest search string stupidity:
Just append the item number to this string:

and you've got a working link. At least, this week :-P
