Roy,

I was pretty sure you meant BC-348, and I'm sure so did Mike :-).  I don't 
know anything more of the details of the BC-349 than anyone else appears to 
but heard somewhere that when the BC-224 was in the design stage, a mating 
transmitter (BC-349) was as well.  In the event, it lost out to the BC-191 
(but I don't know why or whether it was to the BC-AA-191 or the later 
BC-191-A).  And when the BC-348-B was later built for use in the newer 24 volt 
aircraft, so was the BC-375 (model letter unknown as I only have paper on -C, -D 
and -E).
