Nail polish is liquid acetate - or it was. I'm told some if not all
is liquid teflon now. The current version of Q Dope is liquid
polystyrene but I'm not sure that existed then so could well have been
liquid acetate which definitely would have been available.
You're right about the smell, though. It's a dead ringer. I wonder
if that's close enough to being on the numbers to qualify. :-)
