Well, the idea is to stick with materials that would be available to
build a "po' boy" transmitter which is why the newsprint and varnish
idea came up.  It was my idea and I've taken the credit & blame for it
since.  :-)

Anyway, if a Fiberglas front panel could be constructed that looks and
behaves like cloth-based black phenolic, I could easily go for it.  I
think it would be a lot better than the current plan which is thick
black Plexiglass.  (The alternative is wood which I also like.)
