Roger,

What model of BC-348 do you have?  There are actually five different 
transformers for the 15 odd different models.  Some are funtionally interchangable 
with others except that the terminal numbers are different.  Some are very 
definitely not interchangable.  

And technically, what most people call the audio transformer is more 
correctly the audio pack.  The transformer is one of three or two components inside.
