I get this sort of question a lot.
I keep trying to answer it, and I keep having to eat crow.
I can say only, and without any sarcasm or disrespect at all:
"whatever someone is willing to pay at the moment."
It is darn near impossible to come up with a realistic
selling price estimate for this stuff.
I've seen truly rare sets go for peanuts,
followed by sets as common as the sands of the sea
going for hundreds. Next week, it will change around again.
I think it depends on who's got "mad money" when,
or the alignment of the stars,
or the moon phase,
or which way the wind blows,
or the latest reading of rooster guts or sheep entrails.
Pricing this stuff outside of an auction environment
is all hocus-pocus and whoo-doo-voo-doo.
Regards,
Dave S.
