OK. I found at least one of the e-mails I remember. It was from 
2004, and was from Brad Hernlem, KG6IOE.

Although the website and photos which he posted to the list is still

I have no idea whether or not he is still around, or whether or not 
these are still available.

I would certainly think that these are still available from SOME 
source.

All we have to do is find the correct source.

I can post his entire e-mail if anyone would like to have a copy, but 
essentially he says that he used a thin sheet of epoxy-fibreglass 
board, drilled the appropriate holes in it for the pins, then covered 
them with a layer of epoxy glue after wiring them the way he 
needed them.
