Gentlemen,
Do any of you know what the explosive charge used to destroy the aircraft
installed BC-966 IFF sets looked like? I'm restoring a 1943 Curtiss P-40M
aircraft and in the original wiring I came across a PL-177 connector that
according to the maintenance manual would have attached to the front of the
BC-966 to supply 28v to an explosive device. There is clearly a tubular
metal receiver of some kind on the face of the unit but the detonator has
been long since removed. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Also I'm desperately seeking an AN-95 IFF antenna- anyone got one for sale?
Short of that a picture would work so we can fabricate a replica.
Thanks,
Paul Redlich
