The first time I saw that 304TL thing, I just about fell down 
with amazment! 

The FILAMENT supply requires more power than the entire 
amp puts out: 30 watts/channel. The filaments require 125 
watts/tube.

And the fools are dissipating AT LEAST 300 watts of heat 
from the plates, for 30 watts output.

I just absolutely cannot understand such stupidity.

And that $85K amp is a piker when compared to some 
Japanese tube job I once saw that cost $257K !!!!!!!!!!

As David said, an audio-phool and his money are soon 
parted.
