Hello,
I'm restoring a 1943 P-40M. The entire electrical system is wired with a
Thomas & Betts "Wedge-On" terminal end. The terminal consists of a hollow
body with the spade and hole for the stud. The wire is inserted through the
hollow body and the wedge fitting is placed over the stripped end. A special
tool is used to drive the wedge into the hollow body of the connector,
locking it into place and clamping the wire.
Does anyone out there have a stock of these connectors they would be willing
to sell? Thomas & Betts no longer supports the connector, has no surplus
stocks, and has destroyed the tooling.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
