That sounds likely.  The Version 2 manual I am loading emphasizes 40M.  It
would be very interesting to know if Ed did manuals for all three versions.
 I tried to build the third version in 1962, or thereabouts.  It had a 6DQ5
final, which was also the receiver RF amplifier!

My guess is that it was a small company that also published the
construction booklet(s), in which case it would be:
