In my "new and improved" book on A.R.C., I'm planning just that, much
to the horror and dismay of many. Okay, a few. Actually, only one
really outspoken opponent. Among the equipment to be set up for
photographs and description will be a couple of "typical 50s-60s
Command set conversion" rigs using different approaches.

If you happen to find them and need the space, I know a willing
recipient who'd love to finish it. :-)

The best "mod" is pretty much none at all by following David's advice
on getting them on the air. After perverting a few 'back when, I
wound up with the same conclusion after talking with a few AAF radio
types who were pretty insistent I leave them alone and use them as
built. Most (but not all) of the ones I have now are converted but I
should be able to get them back to something vaguely resembling
original condition without a lot of Really Bad Words. If I'm lucky
and use those Really Bad Words just right. :-)
