Sorry, John, I don't understand what it is that I said that you
disagree with. Which of these steps do you not agree with:

1. transform series RC to parallel
2. combine parallel capacitances by adding
3. transform parallel RC to series
4. now we have a simple LRC, series resonant circuit

For the current flowing in the added parallel C to be an issue, the
Q of the capacitor would have to be low. That is not the case here
with these moderate impedance transformations - the loss in the
circuit is dominated by the finite Q of the roller inductor.
