[ARC5] ARC-5 transmitter frequency drift suggestion

One aspect (possibly the most important aspect) of this
question I have not seen mentioned here is the power
input/output at which one attempts to run these
transmitters.
If you will remember the data plates that were attached to
some versions of the "ARC-5" you will notice that they read
"A1 output 12 watts"
According to the series of articles in ER magazine, the
author ran the units he tested for drift at a maximum power
output of about 15 watts.
The results of his drift measurements were quite
impressive, and I wish I could list those here. I will try to dig
out my issues of ER and post them asap.
I know that in many cases, those who used the "ARC-5"
transmitters alone were attempting to run them at 150 watts
input, fully plate modulated, and then they complained
about drift.
BAD drift should have been expected under such
circumstances.
As has been said here by some of us: when these
transmitters are run according to original specifications, drift
is minimal, no matter how long one keeps the key down.
One other thing that was mentioned in the series of ER
articles: drift in a VFO is not determined so much by the
TYPE of oscillator circuit as it is by the quality of
components, and the quality of the construction.
