FWIW, I think a pointer to an auction listing should include:
The item number (you can really omit the eBay as it's essentially the only game
in town)
The item title (so readers don't have to go and look to find out it's of any
interest at all)
Whether the person posting the item has a financial interest in the item (and
the post is self serving)
These are the guidelines I use to moderate my lists and IMO they are fair,
necessary, and sufficient.
