To all those who answered my original query, many thanks.   Have no way to 
measure the actual temp but at 28 volts in, found the dyno case heating up to a 
point where placing one's hand thereon for any prolonged period of time was 
"close to uncomfortable."   Backing down to 25 or 26 volts seemed to make a 
noticeable difference.   On subsequent 1 - 2 hour periods of continuous operation 
all seems to be FB.
