Au contraire.  Someone accepted some at least long enough for them to get 
orange QA stamps and then surplussed out.  I've never actually had a BC-942 but 
I've had at two BC-950's, complete with small rack connectors in the rear, 815 
up front, and original SCR-274-N nameplates.  Sold the last one in 2005.  Plus 
several T-23's that had started life as BC-950's.
