Hi, folks,
Let me interject a bit ...
The C-131 requires an independent DP6T switch to operate which means
14 extra contacts per each. I have an erection drawing for the TBM-3
which had an ART-13, an ARB and a C-131-equipped R-26. It uses a
C-188 as the control box for the ART-13 and R-26. From the drawings,
it looks like there's only one connector on the C-188 with cabling
that splits between the ART-13 and the C-131.
Somewhere in this mess - er, neat ordered set of documentation - I
have information on another TBM installation (TBM-5?) that has one
each R-26 and R-27 with a Yardeny tuner on them and no ARB. This has
a C-287 for the ART-13 and the receivers. It requires 22 more
connector contacts than a C-87 as a result. How they're split between
two 6-channel tuners I don't know. I also can't recall if there's one
or two connectors involved.
As a side note, the pilot had no CW capability in these installations
so the control boxes didn't have that really cool key on top.
Best regards,
Michael, WH7HG
