[ARC5] control box for C 131/AR spot tuner?

Hi All,
  Does anyone have any info on how the Yardley spot tuner was actually 
controlled?The manual is quite vague on this.I'm guessing at useing the 
existing ARC-5 box for audio circuit and I've heard that a modified 
C-87/ART-13 was used for channel selection.Please enlighten!
