That's a good price if it hasn't been ham molested.

So that no one who is new to this hobby gets the wrong idea, the BC-456 is for the SCR-274-N.  It is definitely *not* for the AN/ARC-5.  It would also work with the USN ATA series of transmitters, except that the modulator's sidetone high impedance AF output may be incompatible with the rest of the ARA/ATA system's low impedance AF, unless the BC-456 is a -B model and wired for low impedance sidetone AF.

AN/ARC-5 transmitters are PA plate modulated by the MD-7/ARC-5, a unit that is electrically very different from the ATA or SCR-274-N screen modulators.  

The modulator's dynamotor and the antenna relay are the *only* two components of the AN/ARC-5 *transmitter* system that can electrically interchange with ATA or SCR-274-N equivalents in the military installation.
