Gordon,
Didn't the 8th AF modify some BC-455's to go more or less to 10 Meters? I
thought I recalled you writing about it many years ago. I also have a dim
recollection of reading someone's comment to the effect that the 8th AF techs
probably weren't too pleased with the performance of the 12SK7 and 12K8 at 28 MC.
