I wonder if A.R.C. had a chance to test actual transmitter installations 
in aircraft such as the B-17, etc.? They owned an aircraft that was 
based at their field, but it was obviously not a 4-engine job. I don't 
recall seeing ARL or NRL tests on full size aircraft. Mosts of the tests 
were done on the bench. I have to assume that A.R.C. at Boonton had some 
kind of mockup arrangement to simulate large metal aircraft.
