Subject: IRS Goes After Ebayers- Hamfest Leverage??

The IRS has made it clear they are going after Ebay people who don't
report the profit on their sales as income.
They are pressuring Ebay to release seller information, and it appears
Ebay will be forced to cave.

Is this an opportunity? Can this, if properly "talked-up"
and calmly shopped-around, be used as
leverage to get people to come back to hamfests as the "first choice"
for ham trading?
I think it can. One mention in an ARRL bulletin, along with a good
line, like: "Some expect that this could lead to many casual equipment
sellers returning to local hamfests,"
might be enough to get the ball rolling.

Your thoughts?
