When I was in college in the 1950s there was a war surplus P-51-D parked on 
the campus (MSC, Bozeman, MT) with SCR-274N equipment mounted behind the 
pilot's seat and clearly visible through the bubble canopy. ( Never was able to 
figure out how to get my hands on any of it, HI!)
