Well guys, I actually had a T-16 a few years back which looked good, but not
like new. I had accumulated a lot of gear in the "ARC5" series and was hopint
to put the complete unmodified series together.

Unfortunately (for me) I never had the time to do anything with them, so I
started putting them on "the bay" one at a time. I noticed the same person was
winning every one of them, so we got in touch with each other and cut to the
chase.

The buyer (sorry, don't remember his name or call) had always wanted to do
what I was wishing to do with a complete set up, and had come to a point in his
life where he had BOTH the money AND the time (enviable position to be in!)

I was glad the sets went to someone who had the appreciation for them that I
have always had. Without ebay, they would probably still be collecting dust in
my back room with me longing for the time to play with them.

BTW, didn't sell out completely, I still have an AC modified BC-946 working
on a daily basis above my metering lab workbench which I listen to Rush, Sean
and the others on; an unmodified 946 which will eventually go to the bay, a
BC-453 &454, modified since my novice days, The 454 had a yellow stamp "Repaired
Chili (I think) base" It loks like the photo sample for the ARRL "Getting
started in Amateur Radio" book that was published in the late 60's.I also have an
ARC manufactured receiver unit with round vent screens and an American
Airlines ID tag on it. Looks like Aircraft Radio Corp got more mileage out of that
design than just in Uncle Sam's service. (The AA unit may end up on the bay
also)

73,

Shew
