[ARC5] FS: BC-455-B Black

For Sale, black WECo BC-455-B.  Untested, unmodified, good paint, original 
tubes, $75.00 plus shipping.

Aside from being one of the less common black -B's this one is uncommon in 
that I know part of its history.  Counting the AAC, I'm the 3rd owner.  The 2nd 
owner was a T5 when he "acquired" it from salvage at Frankfort AB in 1946.  
Whether it went straight from warehouse stock to salvage or was pulled from an 
aircraft he didn't know.  I acquired it from him about three years ago here in 
Houston.  He never did anything with it and it sat on a shelf in his garage 
about a mile from here since the house was built in the late 50's.

Another receiver that didn't fare as well (he played with it) is a CCT-46145. 
 Wires were soldered to the rear connector and to the dynamotor connector 
pins.  The tube cover needs repainting (peeled plus something spilled on it) and 
possibly the sides of the chassis.  Front panel, plug-in and tuning dial look 
OK..  I haven't pulled the bottom cover to see whether he did anything inside 
but will if anyone is interested.  He did not know how it might have ended up 
at Frankfort.

I looked carefully at the dynamotor plug pins and fortunately the solder does 
not extend down to the base and tips of the banana leaves.  So probably 
salvagable with good desoldering equipment and technique.  I'll take best offer 
over $75 for this one.  Contract Number NOs-95736, Serial Number 3963, accepted
